Former Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili returns to politics
Former Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili returns to politics. He will be the political secretary of the “Georgian Dream” party, reported Bidzina Ivanishvili’s Facebook page.
Irakli Garibashvili resigned from the post of Prime Minister on December 23, 2015. He held that position in Novermebr, 2013. After his resignation, Irakli Garibashvili did not engage in politics and was in the center of public attention in a number of events: He congratulated “Georgian Dream” on the victory in the parliamentary elections in 2016, in 2017, when he visited the Patriarch of Georgia and in 2018, when before the second round of the presidential election he called the public to support Salomie Zurabishvili.
Kakha Kaladze, the Secretary General of the party also stated about the return of Gharibashvili.
