Minister of Defense of Georgia met with NATO Secretary General

Georgian Defense Minister Levan Izoria met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Deputy Secretary Rose Gottemoeller  in Brussels, where the Defense Ministerial is underway.
The sides discussed Georgia-NATO relations, the role of Georgia in the Black Sea region and international security, the defense transformation process and the Georgia-NATO exercise “NATO-GEO EXERCISE 2019”, which will be held in March.

According to the Ministry of Defense of Georgia, within the framework of the NATO Defense Ministerial, Levan Izoria will meet with defense ministers of Lithuania, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. They will discuss the prospects for further cooperation between the countries in the defense sphere and cooperation with NATO.
